Dear Hunnewell Parents,

Welcome back from February break! I hope that you found some family time that was both productive and restful. As we transition back into our school routines, I wanted to share something meaningful with you—something I recently revisited and found as relevant as ever.

Over the break, while cleaning out some old bookshelves, I stumbled upon an old friend—one that helped direct my path to becoming a teacher and remains the bedrock upon which I walk today. It’s Robert Fulghum’s All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten. His words are a timeless reminder of the simple yet profound lessons we aim to instill in our children daily.

These lessons go beyond the walls of our school—they shape the foundation of how we interact, learn, and grow as a community. They remind us that the fundamentals of kindness, responsibility, and balance never lose their importance, regardless of age. As we guide our children through their education and personal development, it’s easy to get caught up in achievements, schedules, and the pressures of an ever-changing world. But at the heart of it all, success is not just measured in grades or accomplishments—it’s measured in the ability to collaborate, to show empathy, to adapt, and to contribute positively to the world around us.

Important Dates

Wednesday, March 5th

Walk, Bike, & Roll to School (8:15–8:30 AM) PTO Meeting – 8:45 AM Thank you for your continued partnership and for being an essential part of our school community. I look forward to seeing many of you on March 5th!

Dare to Dream,

Mr. Dees

Dear Hunnewell Parents, Welcome back from February break! Let’s encourage students to walk, bike, or roll to school! It’s a great way to promote healthy habits, ease morning traffic, and build a sense of community.

Immediately following drop-off, we invite you to join us for our PTO meeting at 8:45 AM. This is a wonderful opportunity to stay informed, share ideas, and connect with other parents. Your involvement helps make Hunnewell the special place it is!
